I saw the campaign. Eden talked in my native language (German) and explained how and how often you could vote. Even if there was no war and crisis. That is a method of gaining votes that I find disgusting. I never saw active sponsored content from other countries. The only time I saw other entries being „marketed“ was from supporters, like celebrities of their country or the official broadcasting chanel of their contry. A goverment funding an ad campaign, is very unsportsmanlike

Well, there is a lot of misinformation in the social against Israel so not sure if the report is verified but I'm sure that when Ukraine and Finland did the same thing no one cared about it. As a Ukrainian-Canadian, I made sure my emails to the EBU protesting the inclusion of Israel included the line about it being humanitarian not political. I also can't imagine the backlash if vyshyvanky, or any other people's traditional clothing were banned from Eurovision the way the keffiyeh is. And yes, there has been a growing political element to vyshyvanky in the last decade or so--it's not a completely different situation.

As a previous Eurovision multiple participant (over a span of 35 years) Eurovision has always been a celebration between artists, press, fans closely monitored by EBU who usually protects the organizing broadcaster/production. What happened this year was beyond belief. BUT what every participant should know is the huge amount of attention they will receive and endless exposure to media as well as various other obligations. It is a fine balancing act between PR, rehearsing and performing at the top of one’s game. Every artist should be prepared for this, both physically and mentally. Just saying.l It’s not an easy task, especially without the proper support team around you. I truly hope that such unprecedented nonsense and controversy will never happen again. OH, and no more double standards from the “untouchables” at EBU

Technically Nemo had the best song. As mentioned the song blended so many different music genres beautifully. That is why the juries voted Nemo so high. That is what they judge. In terms of performance and stage presence/vibe, baby lasagna were by far the best. That is why the audience voted for them.
